Invest in the future, to achieve your goals!

If you want to achieve your goal, invest in the future! It is a common saying we hear from many motivational speakers. 

Goals are set individually. The goals that we set individually are impermanent. No one in the world could be satisfied even after achieving the material goals that we set. We can set goals after goals, until when? Would we be satisfied after achieving it? Is there any goal that can give a final satisfaction? Is there a final goal? The best ever achievement any human can achieve? For example, if I set a goal to gain a top degree from a top university, once I gain it, I will set another one to get the best paid job? may be after that to be rich? We can get one after another. But none of these material goals can give us full satisfaction. Every one of us are made of body and soul. The goals that we set, give us the bodily or earthly satisfaction. But our own souls thirst for something beyond this material world. We often do not listen to the cry of our own soul. It always stays unheard and unnoticed. We need to have a pause from running for goals after goals and listen to the cry our souls in solitude. Then we should be able to listen and understand the soul’s desire, the desire to reach back to our creator. That is the final goal, the goal that has been designed for us by God, our creator. God has already set a goal for us. The goal of heaven. ‘So I run straight towards the goal in order to win the prize, which is God’s call through Christ Jesus to the life above’ (Phil 3:14). We need to keep this priority in our day today life as Christians. Invest in things that will help us to achieve the prize of heaven. Spend time in prayer, meditate on our heavenly goal and live a life according to the will of God.

But, the society that we live, always distract us from our goal of heaven and drive us towards gaining money, possessions and material gains. There is nothing wrong in gaining riches in a genuine way and achieving many goals in life, but we need to set priority for our final goal. Our riches become a problem when we start loving them more than we love God. We need to set priority for God, above our material gains. When priorities are in order, we will first seek the will of God in our lives. Mathew 6:33 says, “but seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

However, often we forget about our final goal and do nothing about it and be immersed in the thoughts of achieving the temporary goals. That is why Jesus said, only a few will make it. Jesus tells us in Mathew 7:13-14, “Go in through the narrow gate, because the gate to hell is wide and the road that leads to it is easy, and there are many who travel it. But the gate to life is narrow and the way that leads to it is hard, and there are few people who find it”.

It is hard to achieve our real goal in life. We may fall away from the path that is designed for us by God. We need to constantly in touch with God through prayer, to stay in the path. We need to seriously think about it and come back to the track, every time we fall out of it. With our human abilities, it isn’t possible to stay in the track always, but with Jesus, we can do it. Jesus will guide us through the path, He is God and He became a human to take us all to the heaven, the everlasting goal. Jesus is the way, the truth and the life. Let us try to stay close to Him and be submissive to Him. He has a plan for us, a plan to guide us to reach our eternal goal of heaven.

Does Love Change Everything?

There is a saying that love changes everything. But if our love has not been sincere, can we expect any changes? Surely not. Often our love surrounds and concerned with good and positive things in life. It is easy to love family and friends. We often find hard to love those who do evil and betray us. Because they appear to be negative and less pleasing to us and our life styles. Do we try to reach out to the negative and less appealing things around us and in the society? If we are able to show sincerity in our love towards others, we can surely expect some changes in life and in the society- a change from sorrow to joy, from pride to simplicity, from violence to peace, from bondage to freedom. We are not capable to sincerely love others with our own human strengths and limitations. But with Jesus, who came to this world with the message of peace and love, showed us the way to salvation, has the power to instill in us the true and sincere love, when we unite to Jesus.  

Jesus tells us to love everyone, even our enemies, as He tells us in Mathew 5:44-48, “But now I tell you: love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, so that you may become the children of your Father in heaven. For he makes his sun to shine on bad and good people alike, and gives rain to those who do good and to those who do evil. Why should God reward you if you love only the people who love you? Even the tax collectors do that! And if you speak only to your friends, have done anything out of the ordinary? Even the pagans do that! You must be perfect-just as your Father in heaven is prefect!”

Jesus forgave the sinners and even those who persecuted him. The same Jesus says us to follow him. He is the only way to salvation. If we follow the footsteps of Jesus, we can be assured that Jesus will hold out hands and guide us to the everlasting peace, joy and freedom. But we need to be prepared to love, love unconditionally. We must love like him and dedicate ours

elves to God in every moment of our lives. This dedication will definitely help us to practice that unconditional love, helping us to walk towards being perfect, just as our heavenly Father is perfect. Then we can see that our sincere love transforms ourselves and our society for good.

Who is Responsible?

Who is responsible for a person's destiny? Every individual is responsible for his or her own destiny. It depends on how they have chosen to live their lives in this world. Sin ruins a person's life, whereas virtue preserves it. God has given us the freedom to choose one or the other. God observes us what we choose. When our choices go wrong at times, God guides us, if we ask for His help. Jesus promised us that the Holy spirit will guide us and reveal greater things to us.

According to Pope Francis, there is no greater freedom than that of allowing oneself to be guided by the Holy Spirit, renouncing the attempt to plan and control everything to the last detail, and instead letting him enlighten, guide and direct us leading us wherever he wills.

If we place our freedom to choose our way of life in the hand of God, our destiny will be safe with God. it is our responsibility to know the truth. Each individual has to strive to seek the truth in life. Jesus is the way, the truth and the life. "then you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free" (Jn 8:32).

Let us be responsible for our own life, by uniting with Jesus who is the way, truth and the life. God bless you.

Season of Christmas!!

Christmas is not a day of celebration....it is a season of celebration. A celebration of peace, joy and hope to the world, to the mankind.......a season to remember and reflect on the fulfillment of the promise of God for the salvation of mankind through Jesus, the Son of Man, who  was born into this world for everyone of us........not in luxurious setups or glamorous situations, but in the simplest form, revealing the glory of God to the simplest people like the poor shepherds and to the wise men who always relied on and sought the wisdom from God. 

At the birth of Jesus, the nature maintained it's natural serenity, the sky filled with stars to glorify Him and the angels descended from heaven to sing Gloria!!! It is the time, the glory of God came down to earth for the whole of mankind. Every year when Christmas is celebrated, this peace, joy and hope should be filled in every hearts.

However, some people celebrate Christmas without understanding or realizing the right meaning or the right reason for it. Christmas cannot be what it is, without Christ. Christ should be the center of Christmas....if not, you are not celebrating Christmas, but just a shopping festival or socializing event, same as any other occasion. Without Christ, whatever pomp and shows that is displayed or projected for Christmas is meaningless and doesn't serve for the real cause of the celebration. It is not the physical pleasure, serving the body's desire by eating loads of food, watching decorations etc., that Christmas brings, but the spiritual joy, the inner peace and the hope for the mankind and a surety of salvation if we prepare to choose the path of Jesus. The satisfaction of celebrating Christmas with it's correct meaning, is great.

Christmas is a celebration that should last for the lifetime of a person who realizes the real meaning of it.

Christmas is an opportunity for those who experienced the love of God and accepted Jesus as the way, truth and life, to proclaim to the whole world that salvation is possible for everyone through Jesus. It is also an opportunity for those who never knew Jesus or heard about salvation, to experience the love of God, to accept Jesus as their savior, in order to save their lives.

Jesus is the answer to all the problems in life. All the anti-social troubles that happen in and around the world is because they do not know Jesus or never bothered to know about him.Let this Christmas be an opportunity for us all to know Jesus, prepare our hearts to receive God to be born into our lives, giving us the gifts of peace love and hope, So that we become the messengers of love and unity and serve the mankind with kindness. We need to have that faith in God to receive the gifts from Him. Surely, through God everything is possible, the whole world will be a place of peace if all the people follow the steps of Jesus, to save each one's life and that of the whole world. Looking at Christmas with the eyes of faith, wee will be able to experience the real meaning of it. Without faith it is impossible to attain what Christmas offers.

Let this Christmas season change our lives. Make us the messengers of peace, love and hope by uniting to Jesus. Let Jesus be our way, truth and life. Jesus is the prince of peace.
For unto us a Child is born,
Unto us a Son is given;
And the government will be upon His shoulder.
And His name will be called
Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. (Isaiah 9:6-7)

Depression??? Defeat it

What discourages most people in life is the thought such as, 'I live in vain', ,there is no peace in life', 'no one loves me', 'there is no hope in life' etc. These are the thoughts that ruins the quality of anyone's life and lead a person to depression and to lose the will to live. 

Depression can lead to fatal mental status, confusions, fear of life and even lead to suicidal thoughts. The society and social systems can play a part in the role of leading a person to depression. The response, reactions, rejections, and non-acceptance in the society or the people around can be the causes of anxiety, low mood and depression. But should it really affect a person? There are times when we think that we cannot survive without socializing or support of the society. But just think that the society is made up of each individuals and each individual is unique, each one has got his or her own role to play in personal and public life. Just because of being unique, each one has to be responsible for his own life. Therefore no one can blame the society or the system for individual dissatisfaction. Satisfaction and happiness in life can be achieved, when a person is able realize his own root and the reason for his existence. But when a person doesn't realize that he is created by God, created to live in this world, and not following the commands of his creator, he fails to be in the right tack. When the life track is changed, failures in life can start. It is important to get back to the track and for this we need the help of the creator, who is in control of everything, everything in our life and that in the universe. Our faith and attitude towards our creator decides our destiny and the quality of life. So each one is responsible for his own life - whether the life leads to depression and death or it leads to peace, joy and hope.

Jesus came to tell us that he is the way the truth and the life. No one else in the human history has ever said what Jesus has told us. Because only Jesus has the power and authority to say, that anyone who trust in him will have the peace, joy and eternal life. Jesus gives us peace...... and that peace, if we are prepared to receive, is given freely. So Jesus is the answer to any of your troubles, anxieties, depressions and sufferings.

However, contrary to what Jesus offers, satan roams around the world, deceiving everyone, brain-washing innocent victims and luring them to search for and  rely in the momentary pleasures of the word and to ignore God and all commands of God. When people are sunk in the pleasures of the world, ignoring God, all the seeds of evil slowly start sprouting in life, without anyone acknowledging it. The world is making a person to accept and do a sin, considering it not as a sin. Because satan deceives and brainwash the people to believe that sin is not a sin and make it normal way of living. Satan continuously attempt to snatch the peace away, giving insecurity and depression in life and lead to death. People live in ignorance, unknowing the truth. Here we need the help of Jesus as only Jesus can win over sin and satan. Only good can win over evil, Only a good person can win over the bad one. We may think that it is impossible, but with God and through God everything is possible. Trust in Jesus.

 Jesus tells us to believe in him, so that you and your household will be saved.  It is important to keep away from sin, and if the society is leading you to sin, keep that sin away and change your attitude. Hold the hand of Jesus and he will guide you to the right path which leads to peace and joy.

Let us pray, Lord Jesus, help us to acknowledge you, understand you and trust in you. So that we may follow your ways that leads us to peace, joy and everlasting life. Help us to overcome all the evils that is in the society, with the help of your mighty hand, and help us to be good, do good and transform the society to be good and to be faithful to God who is our creator. Help us to submit ourselves for your control and guidance in our life, Be with us at every seconds in our lives. Amen.

Beyond the Borders

Beyond the borders of countries, crossing the barriers of territories, piercing the fences of societies, breaking the chains of communities, there is only one thing that prevails...it is GOD'S LOVE.

There is no limit for God's love, no boundaries, no discrimination, no denominations and no restrictions. It is freely given to everyone irrespective of their professional and geographical stand, race, creed or color. Only one thing....be prepare to experience the beauty of the love of God by submitting your life to Him who is the provider of your life and your everything. Jesus tells us in John 10:10, "The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly". 

Yes that is the love of God. He is the life giver,  It is the fact, it is the truth, whether you believe it or not......God is in control of your life. One day everyone will realize this. No matter, whatever belief you have or no belief at all.....Jesus is the life giver. Believe in Jesus, you and your household will be saved. Give Jesus the prime place in your life and experience the free gift of life, love and peace. The life that Jesus gives is eternal and everlasting. 

So, let us strive to achieve the gift of life that Jesus gives, by being messengers of love. Love God and love everyone. because St. Paul experienced the love of Jesus and tells us (1 Corinthians 13:13) "And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love."

Why?...Sufferings....Natural Calamities...

God does not discriminate anyone based on colour, cast, creed or religion. Everyone is same at God's sight, because He is the creator of everyone and everything. God is in control of everything. He controls the universe. Nothing happens without His knowledge. None of the so-called super humans will be able to know God's plans. None of the technologies, science or human brains can predict Gods plans and works. We the humans have no authority to question God....we are the creation.

 

What we need to do is to know God, acknowledge His power over the whole of the universe, be submissive to God and live a life pleasing to God, so that we may walk in the right path, which will leads us to eternal life - a new life to live with God after our term in this earth.

God has given the mankind, the freedom to choose good or bad. A person's destiny will depend on what he has done with his life in this world.

 

Sufferings are part of human life. Sufferings do happen from time to time, natural calamities occur, big buildings, lands, most advanced developments, based on latest technologies perish, humans die everywhere because of various reasons, good and bad people may die together in the same disaster. When death comes, those who are prepared, kept themselves from all the dirts (sins) of the world, have not caused any sinful burden to the earth and the society, will survive the eternal life. But those who never thought about God or lived a sinful, immoral life will perish eternally. However, we all have the chance to repent and turn back to God, accept and be submissive to the creator at this current time. If we do not utilise our chance on this given time....we lose and we can never blame anyone for our destiny. We need to learn from every deaths, calamities, and destructions- that it may one day happen to us or to our own land also. Our survival in this world is unpredictable. Let every death or the news about death, open our eyes. All humans are physically moving on the same route- the route to the grave. It is a fact and we need to acknowledge this fact. But this is not the end. It is the beginning to a new life, based on our deeds...remember....our own individual deeds....not that of the society we live, or anyone around us.

 

So let us not blame anything, acknowledge Gods works, it may appear to be good or bad in our own thoughts, but God has a plan. For I know the plans I have for you, "declares the Lord", plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.(Jer 29:11) Let is believe in His words, be good, do good, be submissive to God and walk in His ways, in order to save our lives.
